  1. If you fail to plan for competitive pressure, you risk falling into the gas-station-price-war mentality. When you do that, you may find yourself responding to other moves by competitors, rather than taking the initiative yourself. Essentially, you are letting the competition determine your marketing strategy.DavidGumpertDavid Gumpert, How to Really Create a Successful Marketing Plan

  2. 2ndcity,
With the following link, up until 14:00 8/15/08, viewers were connected to the American School of Aviation Blog Site with all latest post headlines showing on one front page.

Now as you publicly reported the existence of discrepancy on 8/16/08, I am somewhat become concerned about the shift and change that appear to be taking place with or without being related to the discrepancy of late.

To tell the truth, I feel thrown off balance by seeing totally unrelated post with pictures pops up in the site which I believed it be the ASA blog site all along. Maybe I was under the wrong assumption, and I stand ready to be corrected.

While at it, let me address another important issue on moderating, based on my experience so far, it’s not uncommon to take several hours before my post sent get finally moderated and posted in the site. This totally undermines the timely exchange of opinions and information among the bloggers.

Why not mode after the posting is done? There’s nothing to lose but lot to gain in terms of blogger’s usability while retaining all the moderating tools necessary in tact at your end.

I’ve been to many successful and busy blog sites some with a daily hits exceeding 300 and more, and without exception, all employs after posting moderation.

As it stands right now at 2ndcity, all is at the mercy of how soon the next shift of moderator checks in and begins to work from his or her armchair while holding everyone at its gate.
